I am Aleksandra Cvijović, a visual artist and illustrator based in Belgrade. I am 33 years old and drawing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
As Blanche Dubois said: “I don’t want realism, I want magic“, and that’s exactly how I could describe what I aim to achieve in my work as I create.
My works are highly feminine visual stories. They are a fusion of the aesthetics of the female body, vibrant colors, details, rich flora, symbols, as well as various female fashion accessories that have always been tools for self-expression and the expression of feminine energy.
I find an endless source of inspiration in exploring the female nature, spiritual development, flowers, fashion editorials, vintage illustrations, magazine covers, art history, as well as the act of creation itself.
I mainly work on digital illustrations, but I also use wooden pencils and acrylics.
